KOOPERATIV: Promoting biodiversity at the landscape level

My research focuses on the assessment and evaluation of ecosystem services and the socio-economic analysis of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP). During my doctoral studies in the DFG Research Training Group 1086, I worked on the assessment of local knowledge regarding the concept of ecosystem services and its added value for environmental management in Germany. As part of an interdisciplinary Fitness Check Team , I analyzed whether the CAP meets its own objectives.
Since July 2020, I have been the coordinator for the ‘KOOPERATIV’ project. KOOPERATIV’s goal is to support biodiversity at the landscape level based on multi-actor cooperation. In this context, I will ensure the inter- and transdisciplinary exchange between the scientific working packages and local actors involved, organize communication processes as well as build networks as a basis for implementation and research on cooperative agri-environmental measures.
